Jose Luis Castro Aguado

I have spent close to ten years in technology. The path took me from software engineering on critical systems to data architecture and product direction. Today I work in banking, on data products that assess the physical and transition risk —climate risk— of companies, bridging what the business needs and what engineering builds.

What defines me is a close way of working: with the client, whom I listen to and translate into clear priorities, and with my team, whom I support as it grows. Closeness and rigour are not at odds — I take deadlines, quality and the stability of what we ship seriously. I combine a business perspective (MBA) with technical know-how so decisions make sense on both sides.

I work on the cloud (AWS and some GCP) and lean on AI heavily day to day: I build tools and automations with agents, use it to develop faster, and apply judgement about where it belongs and where it doesn’t.
